Jeremy Margolis is a Legal Assistant in Sanford Heisler Sharp’s New York Office. Jeremy graduated summa cum laude from Amherst College in December 2019 and majored in sociology. For his senior honors thesis, he investigated patterns of friendship formation among Amherst students in order to develop a better understanding of how social segregation and integration works on college campuses. During college, he also had the opportunity to serve as a writing tutor for county jail inmates enrolled in an Amherst course through the Inside-Out Prison Exchange program.
In the fall of 2018, Jeremy took a semester off from college to work on a successful U.S. House campaign in Iowa. In previous summers, he explored his interest in the criminal justice system through interning at an innocence program in Boston and the Office of the Public Defender in Chicago.
Jeremy is considering law school in the future.
