Religious Discrimination and Civil Rights Litigation Support Specialist
Alisa Vithoontien is the Religious Discrimination and Civil Rights Litigation Support Specialist in Sanford Heisler Sharp’s New York Office. Alisa graduated with departmental and general honors from Vassar College in May 2019, where she received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Religion. She was also inducted into the Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society. In her final year, Alisa completed a senior thesis on British institutional practices related to Islamic marriage and divorces.
At Vassar, she was the president of Hunger Action, a student-run organization to combat food security. She also works with the non-profit, Conversations Unbound that works with refugees as language tutors for college students. Alisa has previously interned with the Royal Thai Embassy’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Tokyo and for the Ministry of Commerce in Washington D.C.
Alisa intends to pursue a Law Degree or a Master’s Degree in Public Policy to work in the field of law or diplomacy.
