Alisa Vithoontien is a Senior Legal Assistant in the New York office of Sanford Heisler Sharp, LLP, a national law firm with offices in the District of Columbia, New York, California, Tennessee, and Maryland. She received her B.A. with departmental and general honors from Vassar College, where she was awarded membership to the Phi Beta Kappa Society.
At Vassar, Alisa completed a senior thesis on British institutional practices related to Islamic marriage and divorces. She was also the President of Hunger Action, a student-run organization to combat food security, and worked with Conversations Unbound, a non-profit organization that works with refugees as language tutors for college students. Alisa has previously interned with the Royal Thai Embassy’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Tokyo and for the Ministry of Commerce in Washington D.C.
Alisa intends to pursue a Law Degree or a Master’s Degree in Public Policy to work in the field of law or diplomacy.
