Summer Guo is an Associate at Sanford Heisler Sharp McKnight.
At Sanford Heisler Sharp McKnight, Summer’s practice is focused on representing relators in qui tam and whistleblower cases.
Summer received her J.D. from the University of North Carolina School of Law and her undergraduate degree from Zhejiang University in China. In law school, she was awarded the Merit Scholarship and served as an Executive Competing Member of the Asian American Law Students Association (AALSA) Moot Court team. Summer also worked as a Research Assistant at the UNC School of Law’s Immigration Clinic, where she supported clients in seeking humanitarian relief, including U visas, T visas, and asylum proceedings. During her undergraduate studies, she served as the Director of Zhejiang University Student Union’s Public Relations Department.
Prior to joining Sanford Heisler Sharp McKnight, Summer was an attorney at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), where she gained substantial experience in legal and financial investigations. At the SEC, she investigated publicly traded companies for potential misconduct involving bribery, fraud, and corruption, contributing to the enforcement of federal securities laws and the protection of investors.
Summer is a member of the District of Columbia Bar.
When Summer is not lawyering, she enjoys traveling, spending time with her family, and playing Texas Hold’em.
