Stephanie Smith is a legal assistant in Sanford Heisler Sharp’s San Francisco office. She graduated magna cum laude from Loyola Marymount University with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and minors in African American Studies and Spanish.
While at Loyola Marymount University, Stephanie spent three and half years as a peer advisor in the Study Abroad Office and took advantage of numerous academic immersion opportunities, such as programs in Argentina and Ghana. As an African American, first-generation college student, she was accepted into scholars programs that aided her in navigating higher education and developing professional and leadership skills. Stephanie’s academic interests included ethnic studies, poverty and social injustice, language, and US-Japan relations, which led her to travel to Japan as a Tomodachi Kakehashi Inouye Scholar. Aside from academics, she sought opportunities that enabled versatility and strengthened her character, which included singing in the LMU Gospel Choir, walking onto the Division I Women’s Rowing team, and filming a short documentary with Roadtrip Nation focused on the college experience, career discernment, and personal development.
Stephanie is considering a JD/MSW dual degree program.
