Sophie Tohl is a Senior Legal Assistant in the New York office of Sanford Heisler Sharp, LLP, a national law firm with offices in the District of Columbia, New York, California, Tennessee, and Maryland. She received her B.A. with departmental and college honors from Vassar College.
Sophie concentrated her studies within the disciplines of Political Science and Women’s Studies, while also expanding her academic focus by taking courses in other disciplines like Sociology, Africana Studies, Urban Studies, Geography, and more. At Vassar, she served two years as a Class of 2018 Representative on the Vassar College Judicial Board and completed an internship with the Center for Victim Support Services in Poughkeepsie, which supports and advocates for victims and survivors of sexual, gender-based, and domestic violence.
Sophie has completed many internships in public policy, legislative, and non-profit work and advocacy. She has experience working with local, national, and international non-profits and legislative advocacy groups. Additionally, she has completed an internship with her local Los Angeles County District Supervisor, Supervisor Sheila Kuehl (CA).
Sophie intends to pursue a law degree and Master’s Degree in Public Policy in the near future.
