Sophie Tohl is a Legal Assistant in Sanford Heisler Sharp’s New York Office. Sophie graduated with both departmental and college honors from Vassar College in May 2018, where she received a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies. She concentrated her studies within the disciplines of Political Science and Women’s Studies, while also expanding her academic focus by taking courses in other disciplines like Sociology, Africana Studies, Urban Studies, Geography, and more. At Vassar, she served two years as a Class of 2018 Representative on the Vassar College Judicial Board and completed an internship with the Center for Victim Support Services in Poughkeepsie, which supports and advocates for victims and survivors of sexual, gender-based, and domestic violence.
Sophie has completed many internships in public policy, legislative, and non-profit work and advocacy. She has experience working with local, national, and international non-profits and legislative advocacy groups. Additionally, she has completed an internship with her local Los Angeles County District Supervisor, Supervisor Sheila Kuehl (CA).
Sophie intends to pursue a law degree and Master’s Degree in Public Policy in the near future.
