Pavel Velkovsky is a Senior Legal Assistant in the Nashville office of Sanford Heisler Sharp, LLP, a national law firm with offices in the District of Columbia, New York, California, Tennessee, and Maryland. He received his B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley. His academic interests included comparative politics, international relations, and nuclear science policy.
At Berkeley, Pavel was the acting assistant deputy director for the Nuclear Policy Working Group in 2018, as well as a member of the Nuclear Engineering Student Delegation. During his junior year, he was a part of the Sekhon Lab, an undergraduate research apprenticeship in the Political Science department, whose goal was to measure the effectiveness of issue-oriented canvassing and phone-banking. During his senior year, he studied at the Paris Institute of Political Studies (Sciences Po).
Pavel enjoys climbing and hiking, and has attended bouldering competitions in California, France, and Tennessee. He is fluent in French and Bulgarian.
Pavel plans on attending law school in the future.
