Niamh Lang is a Legal Assistant in Sanford Heisler Sharp’s Washington, DC office. Niamh graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Virginia where she received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in History and Government, as well as a minor in Sociology. For her senior thesis, Niamh explored the reunification of Germany through the microcosm of Berlin’s Palace Square. She argued that the historical layered site imbricates each chapter of German history within its architecture and has been used by Germany’s varying regimes to project a deliberate national image.
Niamh has always been interested in the law. In 2018, she interned for the Civil Rights division of the Boston U.S. Attorney’s Office. While there, Niamh worked with AUSAs to research and brainstorm equitable remedies in various civil rights matters regarding violations of the Americans with Disabilities Act and the Fourth Amendment.
Niamh intends to attend law school in the future and hopes to pursue a career in criminal justice reform.
