Mohit Mookim is a Legal Assistant in Sanford Heisler Sharp’s San Francisco office. Mohit received a Bachelors in Arts in Philosophy and Public Policy from Stanford University, alongside a Minor in Mathematics. Mohit graduated with Distinction (top 15% of class) and received the Philosophy Department’s award for excellence in moral and political philosophy.
Throughout college, the New Jersey native explored his intersecting interests in philosophy, policy, and philanthropy. He interned at the Brookings Institution’s Governance Studies Program, studying US political parties and marijuana legalization policies. At the Laura Arrillaga-Andreessen Foundation, Mohit worked on a platform promoting democratic philanthropy and created resources on politically sensitive philanthropy. On campus, he served as a Research Assistant for Stanford’s Philanthropy Center and a Senior Researcher for Philosophy Talk radio. He has published papers in journals of philosophy on topics such as egalitarianism, democratic theory, and free speech.
