Lily Miller is a Legal Intake and Media Operations Specialist in the San Diego office of Sanford Heisler Sharp McKnight, a national law firm with offices in the District of Columbia, New York, California, and Tennessee. Lily graduated from Bates College with a B.A.

At Bates College, Lily studied Politics and Philosophy and was inducted into the Bates College Key Society. Her senior thesis, entitled “Plunging into the ‘Mommysphere’: The Inadvertent ‘Birth’ of Anti-Abortion Rhetoric in the Radical Discussion of Bodily Autonomy in Mommy Blogs,” detailed how the discourse of anti-abortion rhetorical frames has entered spheres of conversation regarding women’s bodily autonomy.

Before joining Sanford Heisler Sharp McKnight, Lily worked closely with the Bates College and Claremont McKenna College Title IX and Civil Rights offices, developing policy proposals, analyzing federal policy changes, and reinventing compliance trainings for the institutions. Additionally, Lily worked closely with a prominent women’s shelter in Lewiston, Maine and completed internships with the Pomona College Office of Sustainability.

Lily plans to attend law school in the future with the hope of working in Title IX, women’s rights, and civil rights compliance.
