Senior Legal Assistant

Jacob Snyder is a Senior Legal Assistant in the Nashville office of Sanford Heisler Sharp, a national law firm with offices in the District of Columbia, New York, California, Tennessee, and Maryland. He received his B.A. from Columbia University, where he majored in Philosophy.

While at Columbia, Jacob focused on Logic and Philosophy of Language. His senior thesis developed a novel pragmatic account of discourse coherence in repudiation of semantic approaches. He also studied jurisprudence under Michele Moody-Adams, a legal theorist and pupil of John Rawls. Outside of his studies, Jacob was Literary Editor for The Blue and White, Columbia’s oldest undergraduate magazine. During 2017-2020, he worked as a Marketing Solutions Intern at WebMD and as an Administrative Assistant for the Columbia Department of Earth and Environmental Science.

Jacob hopes to attend law or graduate school in the future.
