Izi Silverstein is a legal assistant in Sanford Heisler Sharp’s Washington, DC Office. Izi graduated magna cum laude from Bryn Mawr with majors in Psychology and Dance. For their thesis, Izi choreographed, directed and performed in a 30-minute modern dance piece, for which they received departmental honors.
In Psychology, Izi conducted research with a focus on adolescent maladjustment, co-authoring a study looking at amygdala reactivity as a mediator between harsh parenting and adolescent maladjustment.
Outside of their academic studies, Izi dedicated two semesters toward work in their major fields; first volunteering in Tel Aviv at a shelter for LGBT youth and teaching at an afterschool program for children of refugees and migrant workers, and later attending Headlong Performance Institute in Philadelphia, where they trained in choreographic methods, Pochinko clown, took a course in financial literacy and sustainability for artists, and created work that culminated into a curated performance at the CEC in West Philadelphia.
Izi intends to pursue a higher degree in psychology or law, and to continue to create artistic work.
