Fernando Salazar is a Senior Legal Assistant in the San Diego office of Sanford Heisler Sharp, LLP, a national law firm with offices in the District of Columbia, New York, California, Tennessee, and Maryland. He received his B.A. with high distinction from the University of California, Berkeley, where he was awarded membership to the Phi Beta Kappa Society.
During his junior and senior years in the political science department, Fernando investigated the effects of global climate change and progressive environmental degradation on the regional stability of Southeast Asia with a special emphasis on the post-Cold War concept of human security.
While at Berkeley, Fernando explored many avenues through which the law could best be wielded for the benefit of society largely due to his innate desire to never stop learning. For him, the love of learning is the guide of life—the true mark of a Phi Beta Kappa member. Whether it be environmental, transportation, immigration, or discrimination law, he has been able to find passion at the intersection of the law and the public good. The pursuit of this munificent union has taken Fernando from Berkeley to San Diego to Paris and back.
Fernando hopes to attend law school in the future.
