Snaefridur Fanney Bjargardottir is a Legal Operations and Case Specialist in the Washington, DC office of Sanford Heisler Sharp McKnight, a national law firm with offices in the District of Columbia, New York, California, and Tennessee. Fanney graduated from Yale University with a B.A. in Ethics, Politics, and Economics, with a concentration on gender equity.

At Yale, Fanney competed in mock trial and served as President of the Yale Mock Trial Association. She earned first place at the Harvard Invitational, University of Chicago Invitational, Tufts Invitational, and American Mock Trial Association (AMTA) Opening Round Championship Series. Additionally, she received multiple Outstanding Attorney and Witness Awards and placed third at the AMTA National Championship. Beyond mock trial, Fanney was actively involved in her residential college, Saybrook College, community and student council, and the Yale Scandinavian Society.

Before joining Sanford Heisler Sharp McKnight, Fanney interned at the Stanislaus County (Ca.) District Attorney’s Office under the Head of the Special Victims Unit. She also gained experience as a Legal Intern at the European Union’s Directorate-General for Financial Stability, Financial Services, and Capital Markets Union in Brussels, Belgium, and as a Legal Research Assistant at the Yale School of Management.

Fanney plans to attend law school to further pursue her interests in litigation and gender equity. She is a native Icelandic speaker and is proficient in Spanish.
