Elizabeth Yang is a Deborah Rhode Fellow at Sanford Heisler Sharp McKnight. She earned her LL.B. with Honours from the University of Edinburgh in Scotland and went on to receive her LL.M. from the University of California, Berkeley School of Law, where she specialized in Business Law and Law & Technology and was awarded Pro Bono Honors.

Elizabeth is passionate about promoting civil rights, advancing the public interest, and ensuring underrepresented communities have meaningful access to legal resources. Throughout law school, she was deeply engaged in public interest work. She volunteered with street law projects, legal clinics, and nonprofit organizations, developing her commitment to expanding access to justice.

Elizabeth is fluent in Mandarin and Shanghainese. Outside of her legal practice, she enjoys writing novels, practicing kendo, and running a fashion blog.
