Eli Schultz is an Associate at Sanford Heisler Sharp McKnight’s New York office.

At Sanford Heisler Sharp McKnight, Eli’s practice has focused on workers’ rights and litigation. Working with a team of Sanford Heisler Sharp McKnight attorneys, Eli has represented clients including:

• A proposed class of hundreds of children with disabilities incarcerated in Tennessee’s juvenile justice system
• A group of graduate students alleging that Harvard ignored a pattern of sexual harassment and retaliation by a professor
• Multiple tech and legal employees who were terminated after taking protected parental leave
• An educational worker who was terminated after requesting reasonable accommodations for her disability
• An industrial worker who was demoted after reporting race discrimination
• A fashion model who was sexually assaulted by a photographer
• A tech employee who was terminated after disclosing a disability

Eli received his law degree from Stanford Law School and his B.A., summa cum laude, from Amherst College. While at Stanford Law, Eli served as Editor-in-Chief of the Stanford Law & Policy Review and a student attorney with the Community Law Clinic, where he helped clients defend against evictions, expunge criminal records, and obtain Social Security benefits. He also assisted the legal defense of a plaintiff’s lawyer facing criminal contempt charges after obtaining a $9.5 billion judgment against an oil company for environmental damage in Ecuador. Eli graduated with high pro-bono honors.

Eli completed clerkships with the Honorable John M. Walker Jr. of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit and the Honorable Frederic Block of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York.
