Daniela Calderon is a Legal Assistant at Sanford Heisler Sharp’s New York Office. Daniela graduated with General Honors from Vassar College in 2018, where she received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, joined the Phi Betta Kappa Honor Society, and was awarded the Julia Flitner Lamb Prizes for excellence in her department. Within her major, she focused on the intersection 0f race and gender in the American legal system. During her senior year, Daniela conducted an independent study on the impact and sustainability of youth empowerment non-profits, and their role in creating social change.
While at Vassar, Daniela explored her passion for civil rights and social justice as an intern at the Dutchess County Public Defender’s Office, and at Project M.O.R.E.’s Women Center designed to provide a structured process to reintegrate ex- female offenders into the community. Daniela is considering law school in the future.
