Daniela Calderon is a Senior Legal Assistant in the New York office of Sanford Heisler Sharp, LLP, a national law firm with offices in the District of Columbia, New York, California, Tennessee, and Maryland. She received her B.A. with general honors from Vassar College, where she was awarded membership to the Phi Beta Kappa Society and awarded the Julia Flitner Lamb Prizes for excellence in political science.
Within her major, Daniela focused on the intersection of race and gender in the American legal system. During her senior year, she conducted an independent study on the impact and sustainability of youth empowerment non-profits, and their role in creating social change.
While at Vassar, Daniela explored her passion for civil rights and social justice as an intern at the Dutchess County Public Defender’s Office, and at Project M.O.R.E.’s Women Center designed to provide a structured process to reintegrate ex- female offenders into the community. Daniela is considering law school in the future.
