Celine Choi is a Legal Intake and Operations Specialist in the New York Office of Sanford Heisler Sharp McKnight, a national law firm with offices in the District of Columbia, New York, California, and Tennessee.
Celine graduated summa cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania, where she studied political science and English with concentrations in comparative politics and literary theory. At Penn, Celine served as President of Pi Sigma Alpha, the political science honor society. She was awarded the Sachs Program for Arts Innovation Grant for her research and creative project entitled “South Korean Feminist Poetics: Gender, Han, and the Violence of the Archive (Mundan).”
Celine has served as an Intern at CHILD USA, the leading nonprofit think tank for children’s rights. In this role, she summarized briefs for public access at the intersection of social policy and the law for children’s rights issues ranging from educational neglect, abuse of athletes, and child sex abuse prevention. Celine also worked as a Research Assistant at the Penn Graduate School of Education’s Alliance for Higher Education and Democracy, where she worked to determine Midwestern college affordability trends and contributed to the College Promise Program database.
Celine hopes to attend law school in order to bridge her longstanding commitment to civil rights and the law.
