Carter Morris is a Business Development Consultant in the Washington, DC office of Sanford Heisler Sharp, LLP, a national law firm with offices in New York, Washington, DC, California, Nashville, and Baltimore. He received his M.B.A. from Duke’s Fuqua School of Business in 2014 with a concentration in Health Sector Management.
Mr. Morris works with clients in qui tam suits under the U.S. False Claims Act and assists on whistleblower cases, predominantly in the healthcare sector, involving fraud against the federal and state governments. He also works on opioid lawsuits, assisting with research, due diligence, and data management.
Prior to joining Sanford Heisler Sharp, Mr. Morris worked as a Consultant for two years at Salans, LLP’s Hong Kong office where he focused on securities law and equity capital markets. Prior to Salans, Mr. Morris was as an Associate for three years at Kerlin Capital, a boutique investment bank in Los Angeles, where he worked on mergers, acquisitions, and debt raisings in the food, aerospace, and retail industries. Before Kerlin Capital, Mr. Morris spent two years at Sanford Heisler Sharp as Senior Legal Assistant where he worked on class actions involving Novartis Pharmaceuticals Corp. and Whirlpool Corp.
Mr. Morris got his BA from Stanford University where he was on the tennis team.
