Carol Harding is a Legal Assistant in Sanford Heisler Sharp’s Baltimore Office. Carol graduated magna cum laude from Bates College in 2019, where she received a Bachelor of Arts in Politics and a minor in Philosophy. She was also inducted into the Phi Beta Kappa society. During her junior semester abroad in Argentina, Carol conducted and published independent research in Spanish on Argentina’s intercultural jury system. Her interest in descriptive representation continued into her senior thesis, which explored the evolution of the reasonable person standard in workplace sexual harassment Supreme Court jurisprudence. Her thesis was published in the Columbia Undergraduate Law Review.
At Bates, Carol worked in the Office of Admission and volunteered for the family and domestic violence clinics at the Maine Volunteer Lawyers Project. She has previously interned at the ACLU of Maine, the U.S. Department of Justice in Mexico City, and the Superior Court of the District of Columbia. She is professionally proficient in Spanish.
Carol is considering law school in the future.
