Carol Harding is a Senior Legal Assistant in the Baltimore office of Sanford Heisler Sharp, LLP, a national law firm with offices in the District of Columbia, New York, California, Tennessee, and Maryland. She received her B.A. magna cum laude from Bates College, where she was awarded membership to the Phi Beta Kappa Society.
During her junior semester abroad in Argentina, Carol conducted and published independent research in Spanish on Argentina’s intercultural jury system. Her interest in descriptive representation continued into her senior thesis, which explored the evolution of the reasonable person standard in workplace sexual harassment Supreme Court jurisprudence. Her thesis was published in the Columbia Undergraduate Law Review.
At Bates, Carol worked in the Office of Admission and volunteered for the family and domestic violence clinics at the Maine Volunteer Lawyers Project. She has previously interned at the ACLU of Maine, the U.S. Department of Justice in Mexico City, and the Superior Court of the District of Columbia. She is professionally proficient in Spanish.
Carol is considering law school in the future.
