At Stanford University, Aya Daisey served as Vice President of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated. She also chaired the Advocate for Social Justice Committee, where she organized educational programs and events that raised awareness about social issues affecting the campus community. Aya was also an active member of the Black Student Union, serving as Co-Chair of the Community Service Committee. In this role, she planned and led service initiatives aimed at supporting underserved communities, including programs designed to engage and uplift residents of East Palo Alto. Aya’s passion for public interest and community preservation also led to her involvement with the East Palo Alto Community Archive, where she aided in their mission to preserve and protect the history and cultural heritage of East Palo Alto’s residents through accessibility efforts. Aya’s commitment to service and community engagement continues to shape the work she hopes to pursue in the future.
