Arya Diwase is a Legal Assistant in Sanford Heisler Sharp’s New York Office. Arya graduated magna cum laude with departmental honors from New York University in 2018, where she received a Bachelor of Science in Journalism and Environmental Studies. She is also the founder of an international non-profit called Jazz Hands Foundation which works towards teaching underprivileged children English using drama, in India.
At NYU, Arya was on the Executive Board of the NYU Mock Trial Program where she primarily competed as an attorney in more than 20 tournaments. She was also involved in a capstone project aimed at developing a comprehensive waste management plan for Tea Town Lake Preservation, a nature preserve in Westchester, New York. During her senior year, Arya directed and produced a documentary regarding the increasing population of stray dogs in developing countries and their socio-economic as well as public health impacts.
Arya will be attending the University of Southern California Gould School of Law in 2020 and aims on pursuing a Master’s degree in Public Policy in the future.
