Amanda Allen
Amanda Allen is a Legal Assistant in the Nashville office of Sanford Heisler Sharp McKnight, a national law firm with offices in the District of Columbia, New York, California, and Tennessee. She received her B.S. from Roger Williams University, where she double-majored in legal studies and history and minored in political science.
While attending Roger Williams, Amanda was a member of the mock trial team for three years and its President and Co-Captain for two years. She completed a senior thesis on prosecutorial misconduct and the use of coerced confessions from minors with below-average IQs in criminal proceedings; this thesis was her most rewarding accomplishment as an undergraduate.
Prior to joining Sanford Heisler Sharp McKnight, Amanda worked as a Paralegal at a family and matrimonial firm in White Plains, New York and as a Legal Assistant in New York City for Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan.
Amanda plans to attend law school and pursue a career in intellectual property and entertainment law while contributing to the Innocence Project’s work and assisting with exonerating individuals who have been wrongfully convicted.
