Job Description: Intake Specialists help our firm’s leadership identify new litigation opportunities by conducting interviews with our potential clients and summarizing their potential legal claims.

Our firm’s leadership expects Intake Specialists to be thorough in their interviews and summaries. Our representation of a potential client is often determined by the Intake Specialist’s interview write-up. A well-written interview write-up helps our firm’s leadership reach the right decision and can help our attorneys navigate some of the legal challenges they will likely confront in the event we represent the potential client.

Qualifications:
An applicant must have a bachelor’s degree to be eligible and should be available to start working at our firm ideally in February 2020, however, a later start date may be considered.

A competitive applicant will have:

  • a commitment to civil rights and an interest in social justice and public interest litigation;
  • excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • great attention to detail;
  • proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel (proficiency in Access is a plus);
  • strong time management and organizational skills; and,
  • experience in a professional environment (experience at a law firm is a plus).

Hours: Intake Specialists work 40+ hours per week (Nashville 8:30 am to 5:30 pm; Baltimore 9:30 am to 6:30 pm)

Salary: The annualized salary for this position is $38,000.00. Intake Specialists are eligible for overtime.
