Job Description:

The Marketing and Social Media Manager works under the firm’s Director of Operations and with the firm’s website and PR team to grow the firm’s digital presence and build on its standing in the plaintiffs’ bar.

The Marketing and Social Media Manager will be expected to work well under time pressure and balance a number of responsibilities, including but not limited to: maintaining the accuracy of content on the firm’s website and websites where the firm is listed; generating case pages, press releases, and original social media content; leading the initial drafts of awards submissions and managing an awards submissions calendar; working with attorneys and staff on requesting client testimonials and Google reviews; helping generate and coordinate the placement of advertisements; reviewing and negotiating marketing and social media contracts; and analyzing SEO reports and providing suggestions to the firm’s Chairman and Director of Operations on how to achieve the firm’s marketing goals and overall business objectives.

Qualifications:

An applicant must have a bachelor’s degree to be eligible and should be available to start working at our firm as soon as possible.

A competitive applicant will have:

  • a commitment to civil rights and an interest in social justice and public interest litigation;
  • at least 2 years of PR, marketing, or legal media experience;
  • excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • great judgment and attention to detail;
  • proficiency in analyzing SEO data, Adobe, and Microsoft Office (i.e., Outlook, Access, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel);
  • strong social media, project management, research, coordination, image editing, and design skills (proficiency in video editing, HTML, CSS, Python, Ruby, Java, or JavaScript is a plus); and,
  • experience working with outside vendors, legal media and publications, and the highest levels of a company’s leadership (experience at a law firm or a boutique PR firm is a plus).

Hours: The Marketing and Social Media Manager is expected to work 45+ hours per week (i.e., Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. (PT) to ~6:30 p.m. (PT)).

Salary: The salary for this exempt position is $70,000.00 per annum.
