Overland Solutions Wage & Hour Class Action – $2.4 Million Settlement

Case Description

Case Type: Wage and Hour
Company: Overland Solutions, Inc.

Sanford Heisler Sharp, LLP currently represents Plaintiff Martin Fletscher and a proposed class of field inspector for Overland Solutions, Inc. (“OSI”) in California, in a misclassification and unpaid wages lawsuit. The complaint was filed on March 8, 2017 in the Superior Court of California, County of Alameda.

Sanford Heisler Sharp asserts that OSI has engaged in unlawful practices against field inspectors by misclassifying them as independent contractors and failing to pay wages for all time worked. The class action lawsuit claims OSI’s insurance inspectors should be considered employees entitled to be paid for all of their work time and reimbursement of expenses.

Under California’s Private Attorney General Act (“PAGA”), Mr. Fletscher seeks to recover civil penalties for these violations on behalf of the State of California.

Sanford Heisler Sharp attorneys Michael Palmer and Xinying Valerian are prosecuting this lawsuit on behalf of the Plaintiff and proposed class.
