Alexis L. Britt

Litigation Paralegal

Alexis Britt is a Litigation Paralegal in the Nashville office of Sanford Heisler Sharp, a national law firm with offices in the District of Columbia, New York, California, Tennessee, and Maryland. Alexis received her B.S. from Troy University, where she majored in Psychology and minored in Sociology, and her M.Ed. from Vanderbilt University in Human Development Studies with a specialization in Organizational Development.

Alexis has nearly twenty years of experience working as a litigation paralegal on matters relating to employment discrimination and retaliation, sexual violence, personal injury, wrongful death, sexual harassment, complex business, and class actions. Prior to joining Sanford Heisler Sharp, she was a litigation paralegal at a top-ranked national complex commercial litigation defense firm, where she gained substantial litigation experience.

Alexis has a strong commitment to social justice and civil rights, which led her to pursue and earn a master’s degree from Vanderbilt University. While at Vanderbilt, she learned about how power, history, and contexts shape societies, cultures, and social issues. Alexis took a particular interest in researching the negative impacts of inequity, injustice, and oppression on human development at multifaceted and intersectional systems levels as well as how to dismantle these systems.

When Alexis is not working, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, reading, volunteering at her church, and taking care of her family’s horses on their small farm.
